What is the name of the Euro 2024 trophy?
The trophy was originally designed for the first-ever tournament, held in France between four teams, in 1960. The tournament was first imagined by Henri Delaunay, a French football administrator.
Delaunay died in 1955, and the trophy that was commissioned for the tournament was named after him. It was his son, Pierre, who took over from his father as the UEFA general secretary, who worked with silversmith Chobillion to create the 43cm trophy.
UEFA then reproduced the trophy for the 2008 European Championship with a number of changes.
To better match the size of UEFA's other trophies, the new version - made by British company Asprey - is 18cm higher, and 2kg heavier.
The trophy now weighs 8kg, and the names of the winners have been moved from the plinth to be engraved on the back of the trophy.

What is the prize money for winning Euro 2024?
All teams in the tournament will receive an initial €9.25 million. A win lands a team €1 million, and €500,000 for a draw.
Each team that qualifies for the knockout stage will earn a further €1.5 million. Quarter-finalists will get €2.5 million, and semi-finalists will garner €4 million.
Runners-up will win €5 million, and the winners of Euro 2024 will earn €8 million more.
The most a team could win at the tournament is €28.25 million. However, the money is paid to the country’s football association, with bonuses to be decided between the association and players.

40 gold medals are given to the winners and 40 silver medals to the runners-up.
