France face New Zealand in one of the biggest clashes of the autumn internationals on Saturday night.

The last time these two sides met, France won 27-13 in the opening match of the Rugby World Cup in 2023. Tries from Damian Penaud and Melvyn Jaminet helped win the game for Les Bleus on the night, but neither of those players are involved this weekend.

The last time they played before that was during the 2021 autumn internationals in perhaps the game of the campaign. France would go on to win 40-25 in a crushing victory against their southern hemisphere rivals.

The All Blacks have been bolstered by the return of Beauden Barrett, who starts at fly-half after missing the Ireland match with a concussion. Unfortunately, Sam Cane suffered the same fate in the Ireland game and misses out this week.

For France, Bordeaux-Begles star Romain Buros has been handed his debut, starting at full-back against the Kiwis.

Here's everything you need to know about the match.

What have the coaches said?

France head coach Fabien Galthie on the decision to select Thomas Ramos at fly-half instead of Matthieu Jalibert: “We’ve taken the time to talk with Matthieu [Jalibert]. He’s always given the French national team his talent and has always tried his best. The competition [for places] in this team is important, our project is a collective one."

All Blacks head coach Scott Robertson: "It has been special to be here in Paris during Armistice Day. We have honoured those commemorations as a team and also acknowledged the significance of the Dave Gallaher Trophy, named after one of our greatest All Black Captains who led the ‘Originals’ in the first ever Test match against France, and lost his life 11 years later in World War I. This is a trophy we would love to hold, and the players are prepared to take their opportunity in Paris this Saturday night."
