Fans can't get over Gary Barlow's son who towers over him

As Take That embarked on huge tour of Australia and Asia, Gary spoke of his excitement about meeting up with his daughter Emily who moved Down Under.

But the singer, 53, unexpectedly went viral this week after an old family photo of the Barlows began circulating – and fans were shocked at his son Daniel’s incredible height.

Gary originally shared the wholesome photo on Father’s Day in June 2023 but it gained attention again as people couldn’t get over how the 24-year-old medical student towered over the rest of his family.

Gary and his wife of 25 years, Dawn Andrews, are parents to three children, Daniel, who is the eldest, middle child Emily, 22, and Daisy who is 15.

His son Daniel stands at an impressive 6’2, or 188 cm, but he appears even taller as he stands next to his father, Gary, who is seven inches shorter at 5’7, or 170cm.

The family photo has sparked dozens of memes as people commented about Gary’s ‘giant son’ – and some of them are hilarious!

People compared Daniel’s height to the scene in the Christmas movie Elf, where Buddy tries to sit on Papa Elf’s lap and joked that he needed to use huge-sized everyday items.

The internet is a strange place but we must admit we are entertained!

Gary is largely private about his family but recently opened up to the Daily Mail’s Weekend Magazine about Daniel.

‘Obviously, we are very proud parents but he is enormous. He eats two horses’ worth of food a day,’ he said. ‘That’s come from my wife’s side of the family, her brother’s tall.’
