GEORGIA AND CZECH REPUBLIC PLAY OUT ENTHRALLING DRAW IN HAMBURG.

Patrik Schick’s record-breaking goal spared the blushes of Czech Republic as they played out a frantic 1-1 draw against Georgia at the Volksparkstadion.

Georgia took a deserved lead on the stroke of half time with a penalty converted calmly by their striker, Georges Mikautadze after a somewhat controversial VAR check for handball from Robin Hranac.

After the half time break, the Czechs began to dominate the ball with their set pieces clearly causing all sorts of issues at the back for Georgia and it wasn’t long before Schick bundled in a corner to equalise.

This result means that the result of group F will go down to the final matches to be played on Wednesday with Georgia looking to cause an upset against Portugal and the Czech Republic looking to get a result against Turkey.

BOTH TEAMS SEARCHING FOR CHANCES

It is clear that Czech Republic are the better team in this second half but Georgia still hold a threat from the counter attack which the Czechs should be wary about.

A draw does not suit both teams but would still give them a chance at qualification

As presumed, Schick cannot continue and is replaced by Chytil who played well against Portugal when he came on in the first game.
