With 100% of boxes now opened in Dublin Central, Gerry ‘The Monk’ is in line to take the fourth seat.

Tallies suggest Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald (19.4%) is topping the poll, followed by Fine Gael’s Paschal Donohoe (16.6%) in second and the Social Democrats’ Gary Gannon (13.2%) in third.
Independent Gerry Hutch (9.3%) is in fourth place, with the other big names in the constituency, Green Party’s Neasa Hourigan (6%) and Independents for Change’s Clare Daly (4%) quite a distance behind.
Newstalk’s political correspondent Sean Defoe is expecting Gerry Hutch to take the fourth seat adding, “The Monk will be a TD before all this is over”.
Further down the tally, Labour’s Marie Sherlock is at 7.4%, Fianna Fáil’s Mary Fitzpatrick at 7.1% and Independent Malachy Steenson is at 4.8%.
People Before Profit’s Eoin Ó Ceannabhain is at 4.4% with Aontú’s Ian Noel Smyth at 2.1% and Communist Party of Ireland’s Andrew Kelly at 0.9%.
Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch has historically been associated with organised crime within his family, but denies his involvement.
He was was acquitted last year of the murder of David Byrne in the Regency hotel attack.
Mr Hutch was recently arrested by police in Spain investigating money laundering, and has been released on bail while the investigation continues.
Upon his return to Ireland, Mr Hutch told the media he was not worried about the case impacting on his ability to serve the people.
