Paul Mescal's Gladiator singing on SNL not his first rodeo

Paul Mescal is no one-trick pony and on Saturday Night Live the Gladiator II star sang his heart out making the jaws of those watching drop to the floor.

The 28-year-old got the chance to show off his musical skills at the weekend by turning Paul's latest film into a musical.

With Moana 2 and Wicked: Part One released at the same time and having huge success, the writers of the SNL decided to mix it up a little by changing Rigley Scott's new movie.

With some interesting lyrics, Paul in his Trojan outfit (yes, we know Trojan is Greek, just keeping the ancient theme alive), took to the Colosseum differently from what many of us have seen in the cinema.

Yes, Saturday Night Live got their musical brains ticking and put lyrics to the story and if you thought Paul may not have been able to pull it off...well you would be very very wrong!

Audiences and fans around the world were captivated by his sweet voice and he even showed us that he can rap...is there nothing this Irish man can't do? But did you know that this is not the first time that some of us have heard him sing?

Just after Normal People brought Paul into our lives and set the world on fire, Paul joined another Irish legend on stage Dermot Kennedy.

As Dermot sang his heart out on stage to his hit song Giants, out walks Paul and joined him in song- making many of us stunned in silence as the Maynooth man showcased another amazing talent.
