No.2 Men's Golf Tees off at the Invite at Innisbrook on Monday

The No. 2-ranked Keiser men's golf team heads to Palm Harbor, Florida, to compete in the Invite at Innisbrook hosted by Dalton State. The two-day, three-round event will take place at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club's Copperhead Course (Par 71, 7,195 yards) and will feature a field of 20 teams. Thirteen squads are ranked in the preseason NAIA Men's Golf Coaches' Top 25 led by the Seahawks (No. 2), Dalton State (No. 1), Wayland Baptist (No. 11), Southeastern (No. 12), St. Thomas (No. 14), and Cumberland (Tenn.) (No. 15).

The Seahawks are coming off a dominant performance to start the season, winning last week's Seahawk Shootout by 50 strokes. Keiser led the entire way and was the only team to finish the three-round event under par, shooting a 22-under, 782.

All five of Keiser's golfers (with the ability to score for the team) placed in the top 10, including Nicolas Llanos, who claimed medalist honors with an 8-under, 193. The individual title was the first of Llanos' career and his third top-5 finish as a Seahawk. Newcomer Adam Buchanan made a impact in his first outing with the Seahawks, placing tied for second with a 5-under, 196. Rounding out the team's scorers were James Murray (tied for fifth at 4-under), Yann Ferrando (seventh at 1-under), and freshman Iver Sokhan-Sanj (tied for eighth at 2-over).

opayan, Colombia Llanos is coming of the first tournament victory of his career, shooting an 8-under, 193 (62-63-68) at last week's Seahawk Shootout. He enters Monday with three top-5 finishes and a season stroke average of 64.33.

2. Adam Buchanan - Fr. / Ballyclare, Northern Ireland

Finished tied for second in his Keiser debut during last week's Seahawk Shootout. The native Ballyclare, Northern Ireland, had 11 birdies en route to a 5-under, 196 (65-67-64). He enters this week's action with a season stroke average of 65.33.

3. Jan Sustek - Fr. / Brno, Czech Republic

Sustek began his Keiser career with a second-place finish (tied) during last week's Seahawk Shootout. The first-year Seahawk shot a 5-under, 196 (67-64-65) with 11 birdies and one eagle. He enters this week's action with a season stroke average of 65.33.

4. Yann Ferrando

 - So. / Biscarose, France

Ferrando is coming off the fifth top-10 finish of his career with a seventh-place finish at the season-opening Seahawk Shootout last week. The second-year Seahawk shot a 1-under, 200 (64-66-70), entering Monday's play with season stroke average of 66.67.

Iver Sokhan-Sanj 

 - Fr. / Lorenskog, Norway

Making his Keiser debut last week, Sokhan-Sanj place tied for 8th at the Seahawk Shootout. He shot a 2-over, 203 (68-69-66) with nine birdies and one eagle. He comes into the week with a season stroke average of 67.67.

Individuals Dimitri David - So. / Pirae, Tahiti

Playing in the first tournament of his Keiser career, David shot a 4-under (69-64-64, 197) for a fifth-place finish (tied) at the Seahawk Shootout. David had 10 birdies and one eagle and has a season stroke average of 65.67.
