The 7/1 joint favourite finished ahead of "Delta Work" and "Minella Indo"

The Willie Mullins trained "I Am Maximus" was first past the post at the 2024 Randox Grand National at Aintree with Paul Townend in the saddle.

It was a 7.5 length victory for the Kilkenny based trainer, who claimed the top spot ahead of local trainer Gordon Elliott's "Delta Work" and Henry DeBromehad's "Minella Indo".

Longwood based Elliott also had the fourth placed horse - "Galvin" who was ridden by Sam Ewing.

Elsewhere Balrath's Gavin Cromwell's highest placed horse finished in tenth place with "Limerick Lace". He also had "Vanillier" in 14th.

It was a good start to the race for the bookmakers as one of the pre race favourites "Corach Rambler" unseated it's rider at the first fence.
