BBC Two aired one of the latest episodes of Hairy Bikers as a tribute to Dave Myers, who died last week following a battle with cancer.
The 66-year-old’s death was announced last Tuesday by his close friend and co-star Si King, who was by his side in last night's instalment of The Hairy Bikers Go West.
During the episode, one of the last the duo filmed, the friends talked about the impact Myers’ treatment was having on him and how his appetite suffered as a result, with King supporting his friend all the while.
Myers explained the area they had travelled to - north-west Wales - held special memories for him as he used to holiday there as a child.
"We're starting our journey near the historic walled city of Caernarfon, whose castle has stood tall since the thirteenth century, and it's where I came on holiday when I was just a young lad," Myers narrated.
"It's about as west as you can get really without falling off Wales, isn't it?" he observed as he and King chatted while taking in the scenic views.

Towards the end of the episode, Myers reflected: "It hasn't been a bad trip, has it?" to which King responded: "It's been absolutely superb, mate."
"There's been good food and beauty around every corner," the late Hairy Biker enthused as he gestured toward his pal, prompting King to add: "And nice folk."
In the next narration, King movingly stated: "Sadly, we're at the end of our journey in beautiful north-west Wales but thankfully there's so much we can take away from this beautiful part of the world."
The friends’ display of closeness and Myers' fondness for the area touched viewers in light of the sad news, giving the touching moment an added layer of sadness.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, some expressed their sadness as they commented on the touching episode, with one writing: “So many poignant comments/scenes in this episode that now mean so much more #hairybikers.”
“Watching the #HairyBikers Go West and am in tears. Sad to watch but so SO heartwarming to see the love between Si and Dave. The true definition of best friends,” another stated.
A third added: “I watched and smiled and laughed through tears was so touching watching the love and closeness they had #HairyBikers.”
