Holly Carpenter Engaged To Her Love After Romantic Walk

Former Miss Ireland Holly Carpenter once believed that maybe she would end up alone, but in reality she has just won the best prize in the waiting game.

The 32-year-old has announced that her beau of four years Jamie Hunt has taken the plunge and asked her to be his wife!

Heading out for a sunrise stroll on a cool Friday morning down by the iconic Poolbeg Lighthouse and watched on by her adorable rescue dog Max (and a sneaky photographer!) Jamie stunned his love by dropping to one knee.

Sharing some photos of the memorable moment, Holly is still on cloud nine as she said 'Our most special sunrise stroll yet. Here's to forever.'

While Max the dog looked a little oblivious, Holly can be seen with her hand over her mouth, before she grabbed Jamie in for a long embrace.

In the past Holly has spoken about how meeting Jamie changed her life. On the Petty Little Things podcast with the Irish drag queen's Victoria Secret and Davina Devine she opened up about how happy she is that she found love in lockdown.

Holly had a number of high-profile relationships in the past, including with Coronas frontman Danny O'Donoghue, football pundit and psychotherapist Richie Sadlier and rugby player Cian Healy, but she had been living alone and was wondering if relationships just weren't for her.

However, enter Cork salesman Jamie, who swept her off her feet online and the rest, as they say, is history.

'I honestly don't know how I coped through my first lockdown living alone before I met my boyfriend and adopted my dog.' she said on the podcast. 'When I think of how grateful I am for both of them now I could cry, guess I'm v emosh today.'

Holly and Jamie like to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, but in this instance, who can blame them for shouting about their love.
