Ian Garry was involved in a heated exchange with Shavkat Rakhmonov ahead of their huge bout at UFC 310 this evening.
The Irishman had been due to fight Joaquin Buckley on December 15th, however, he has stepped up to fight Rakhmonov, who had been scheduled to take on Belal Muhammad for the UFC Welterweight title before the champion pulled out with injury.
This evening's contest has since morphed into a de-facto number one contender's bout, and emotions were running high at yesterday's weigh-in with both men going head to head just 24 hours or so before doing battle inside the octagon.

A win for Portmarnock native Garry will see him become the top contender for Muhammad's 170 pound crown, a title he has held since beating Leon Edwards in Manchester last July.
Garry and Rakhmonov both boast unblemished professional records heading into this evening's fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The pair have history together, with Garry revealing earlier this week that Rakhmonov got the better of the Dubliner in a training session.
“Yes [Shavkat Rakhmonov submitted me], It’s training,” Ian Garry said told talkSPORT last week.
“If I told you about all the people that I absolutely burned and choked in training you would say I’m the best fighter in the world already, but the truth is we’re all learning and practising in training."
Garry warned his opponent that he is facing a much different fighter than the one he trained with a few years ago.
“So for me, if he wants to hold on to anything from two or three years ago, then hold onto it.”
“But I promise I’m a different beast than what I was at that point in time. I’m going to go out here and I’m gonna put a hole on his head on Saturday night.”
