It is a date with destiny for Dublin's Ian Garry when he takes on old foe Geoff Neal in the early hours of Sunday morning at UFC 298.
Garry is on the verge of a title shot but faces his toughest test yet when he takes on the American opponent.
The pair were previously meant to meet at UFC Boston only for Neal to pull out through injury. And with Garry ranked 10 in the welterweight rankings and Neal ranked eighth, a title shot edges closer for either fighter if they win.
Garry was previously meant to fight Vincente Luque over Christmas but was forced to withdraw following a bad bout of pneumonia but is now fit and ready.
There is no love lost between the pair with Garry previously wearing a t-shirt of Neal's mugshot following an arrest for a DUI.
