The Bangladesh tour of India kicks off today, September 19, and will wrap up in mid-October. The excitement begins with the first Test match between India and Bangladesh at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium, scheduled from September 19 to 23.
Next up, the second Test match will take place at Kanpur's Green Park from September 27 to October 1. But that's not all - the series will also feature three T20 International matches.
Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto has won the toss and decided to bowl first against India in the first Test of their two-match series at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
India finished with 376 on day 2.

The session featured only 23 overs due to a green pitch favouring seam bowlers. Bangladesh started strong, with Hasan Mahmud claiming three wickets, dismissing Rohit, Gill, and Kohli, leaving India in a tough spot. However, the second hour saw a resurgence as Pant, despite a persistent cough, and Jaiswal formed a solid 50-run partnership.
The pitch is expected to improve for batting as it dries out. Pant was promoted to bat at number five over KL and, after surviving a drop by Shadman, tempered his aggression to support Jaiswal, who has been cautious yet effective. Conditions should become more favourable after lunch. Check the India vs Bangladesh scorecard below:
