Lionel Messi scored a stunning goal on Saturday, but it wasn't enough to prevent Inter Miami from drawing 1-1 at home against Charlotte in another MLS match. This marks the third consecutive draw for Miami, following a 2-2 result against Atlanta and a 1-1 tie against New York City.

The match against Charlotte was filled with missed opportunities for the team under Gerardo Martino, who repeatedly faced resistance from Croatian goalkeeper Khalina. Messi, who hadn't scored in the previous two matches, netted a spectacular equalizer in the second half to match a goal from Polish striker Karol Swiderski. However, he was denied on at least three other occasions by the opposing goalkeeper.

This game marked Messi's sixteenth appearance of the season, but he left the field frustrated with the referee and received a yellow card at the end of the match.

Ecuadorian Leonardo Campana and Luis Suárez had huge chances in stoppage time to secure three points for Inter Miami, but they couldn't convert. Despite dropping two points, the Florida club maintains its distance from Columbus Crew, the team they will face this Wednesday, which is the last with realistic chances of catching up in the standings.
