Ireland are hoping for success in their third Nations League game this year, as two dull performances have left Irish supporters wary of any hope of success this year.

The sides are expected to be evenly met, as the two nations are separated by only two spots in FIFA's world rankings (Ireland are 62nd, Finland are 64th).

Hallgrimsson, who paved the way for Iceland to enter the world stage with major success in the EUROs and the World Cup, was expected to usher in some success for the Irish side, but flat performances have left expectations low ahead of Ireland's third Nations League game.

A comprehensive defeat against England was followed by another flat performance against Greece, with supporter numbers dwindling at both games.

Over 1,000 Irish supporters will be present in Helsinki, hoping to see a first ever away Nations League victory.

Ireland head to Finland having won only six of their last 31 competitive fixtures and just two of the 18 they have played in the Nations League.
