Full-time: Ireland 0 England 2
Another defeat for Ireland. They showed a lot of fight to give a spirited second-half performance but just couldn’t find a goal against a team ranked 23 places ahead of them in the FIFA rankings.
Undoubtedly second best on the night but plenty of positives to take.
Four additional minutes left to play.
That would have been the strangest of goals. Hampton kicks the ball out of her hands but McCabe has stood in front of her to block.
The referee waves play on and the Ireland skipper races to the loose ball, then shoots into the arms of the England stopper when a pass may have been the better option.
Ireland pushing hard for a goal. That combination of McCabe to Hayes is getting real joy and the Celtic defender's header has to be saved by Hampton.
Great play from Campbell down the left flank to win a corner and the crowd have suddenly found their voice.
Ireland continue to launch balls into the English box and Hayes latches onto McCabe's route one pass but heads off-target.
The official attendance for tonight has just been announced as 32,742.
Ireland go close! McCabe's free-kick is played to the back post, where Quinn slides to volley across the goal line. Hayes can't make decent contact and it's a let-off for England.
A Campbell throw-in is punched by Hampton, and James fouls Kiernan to give Ireland a free-kick in a dangerous area.
England looking to go a little more direct with long balls towards sub Kirby. So far, they have run all the way though to Brosnan.
The attempts on goal so far are Ireland 0 England 9.
The Girls in Green haven't been able to trouble Hampton at all.
England come really close to adding a third. James crosses for Mead and her header sets up fellow substitute Kirby. The strike is too close to Brosnan, who does well to make a reaction save.
Campbell is straight into the action, taking two long throws in quick succession. The second one wins Ireland a corner, which McCabe hits but it's cleared.
Gleeson obviously feels their best chance of a goal is from set-pieces.
Leanne Kiernan and Megan Campbell are getting ready to come on.
We could be about to see Ireland deploy some long throw-ins.
