After a rather dull start to July, Met Eireann has some good news as it is forecasting the return of high pressure this month.
Although there is a lot of uncertainty at the moment, this month will be a bit of a mixed bag according to Met Eireann's long-range weather forecast. Week one (July 8 to July 14) will see the arrival of low pressure to dominate to the southwest, possibly bringing a predominately southwest airflow.
There will be more than average rainfall during week one and this is also likely in week three, meaning we could be in for a wet July overall. Temperatures are signalled to remain around the average for the time of year. Week two will see the return of high pressure.
