Peak highs of 27C could be hit today in Ireland on a sizzling summer Wednesday.
Weather Alerts Ireland posted that the top temperature could be hit in the south-east today, sharing a picture of one weather model with predicted temperatures across the country. The same model shows potential highs of 22C for Dublin today.
They wrote: "A very warm day with temperatures possibly reaching 27C based on the HARMONIE model used by Met Eireann! Thursday is also forecast to be warm with temperatures into the mid twenties!

"Warmest inland away from coastal areas where it will be cooler!" Dubliners are waking up to a dry and sunny morning, and that is how it should stay, with highs of 22C and just light winds predicted.
It will get cloudy tonight, with some small patches of rain or drizzle, with lowest temperatures of 13C. And here is what the rest of the week is looking like:
Thursday: Cloudy tomorrow with patchy light rain or drizzle, but brightening up later in the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 20 to 22 degrees in a light to moderate southwesterly winds.
Thursday night: Cloud and showery rain will move in from the west during Thursday night but it will stay dry in the east. Mild and humid with temperatures not falling below 13 to 16 degrees, in a light to moderate southerly wind.
Friday: Cloudy and wet during Friday morning and afternoon as spells of rain move eastwards across the country. Drier and clearer conditions will extend from the west during the evening. Highest temperatures of 17 to 23 degrees, warmest in the east, in a moderate to fresh and gusty southerly wind, easing and becoming westerly with the clearance of the rain.
Friday night: The rain will clear eastwards into the Irish Sea early on in the night. Most areas will become dry and clear but it will be cloudier in the west and northwest through the night with some showers. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in a light southwest wind.
Saturday: A fresher and cooler day on Saturday with a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers. Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees in a light to moderate westerly wind.
Saturday night: Showers continuing in western and northern coastal counties Saturday night, but drier elsewhere. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees in a light southwesterly wind.
Sunday: Turning cloudy on Sunday with spells of rain over the northern half of the country with showers further south. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees in a light to moderate southerly wind.
Further Outlook: Unsettled weather continuing for the rest of the bank holiday weekend and into the early days of next week with spells of rain or showers.
