Met Eireann have issued a weather update forecasting a major change as Storm Bert's reign comes to an end this week.
The past 48 hours has seen several weather warnings across Ireland with the west coast being battered by the turbulent storm.
However in the next few days things are predicted to take an unexpected turn as an unprecedented temperature rise is forecast.

ather experts there will be unseasonably warm weather in England but it will also affect Ireland.
Weather expert Daniel aka The Snow Dreamer shared an update that read: "Hate the cold? Well I have good news. 16C is achievable further southeast on Sunday although I’d add accompanied with a strong blustery southwesterly wind this weekend."
Meanwhile here is the forecast for the next few days according to Met Eireann:
Today
Very windy again today due to Storm Bert. There'll be a mix of sunny spells and scattered heavy showers. The showers will become more frequent later this afternoon. Highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees with strong to near gale and gusty south to southwest winds, with gales or strong gales near coasts.
Tonight
Continuing very windy at first tonight but the winds will slowly ease from the south overnight. There'll be a mix of clear spells and scattered showers, some heavy. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees. Fresh to strong and gusty southwest to west winds with gales near the coast.
Tomorrow
Sunny spells and scattered blustery showers tomorrow, some heavy with a chance of hail and isolated thunderstorms. Moderate to fresh and gusty southwest to west winds will ease moderate by evening. Afternoon highs of 6 to 9 degrees.
