Met Éireann has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain in four counties on Friday, with spot flooding possible.

The national forecaster issued the alert for the counties of Dublin, Meath, Louth and Wicklow from 10pm on Friday to 6am on Saturday, with heavy rain and possible spot flooding.

Meanwhile, Met Éireann has forecast a windy Thursday and heavy rain, hail and thunderstorms tomorrow, bringing the risk of spot flooding.

This morning might be blustery and breezy, with a mix of sunshine and showers. Meanwhile, it will become cloudier in the southwest through the afternoon, bringing light rain or drizzle.

Temperatures will range between 14 and 18C, sometimes with fresh and gusty winds as winds will become stronger at times along coasts and very strong along northern coasts.

Tonight will be cloudy with rain or drizzle in the south, which will clear early at night, Met Éireann said. The rest of the country may enjoy clearer conditions, with isolated showers mainly in Ulster. Temperatures on Thursday night will drop to 7 and 10C.

Tomorrow morning will be mostly dry before scatted showers move in slowly from the west. Some of these showers will turn heavy with the chance of isolated thunderstorms and hail, bringing the risk of spot flooding. Temperatures on Friday will be 14 to 17 degrees.

Friday night will see further heavy scattered showers overnight, merging with longer spells of rain over the north and east regions which may lead to spot flooding. Temperatures will drop to 6 and 9 degrees, the forecaster predicted.
