Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry both took home huge cheques for their performances at this week's Amgen Irish Open.
A second-placed finish for McIlroy netted the Holywood star a staggering €595,419 ($660,000), while Lowry finished in a tie for 12th. Solo 12th would have netted him €93,108 ($103,200), but even still the Offaly man will take home a huge cheque for his week's work.
While McIlroy has won big, the prize money will be scant consolation for the four-time major winner who led for the majority of the week before being pipped at the death by Rasmus Hojgaard.

The County Down native stuck a superb iron shot close on the final hole to give himself a chance but failed to drain a 15-footer for Eagle as he missed out on winning his home championship by a single stroke.
