The upcoming movie stars Gossip Girl's Blake Lively as Lily Bloom, a woman in a romantic relationship with neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid, until her first love Atlas Corrigan shakes things up when he's reintroduced to her life.
It Ends With Us' director Justin Baldoni, known for his role as Rafael Solano in Jane the Virgin, stars as Ryle while Brandon Sklenar will play Atlas.
New photos have been shared ahead of the film's release and fans have mixed opinions. One shows Lily and Ryle singing karaoke together while another shows them gazing lovingly into one another's eyes.
A third snap sees Lily chatting to her first love Atlas in a bar.
Fans have been drip-fed on-set imagery since the film was first announced, and they've certainly had mixed opinions: some don't believe the protagonists have been cast well, while others are on the edge of their seats waiting for its release.
One TikTok user penned: 'Am I most likely gonna hate this movie? probably. Am I still gonna watch it? Absolutely,' while another wrote: 'This isn't how I imagined it.'
On the other hand, a third TikTok user commented: 'Okay now wait a minute now it actually looks good,' as a fourth said: 'Hold, I'm seeing the vision.'
The film's synopsis reads: 'Lily Bloom thinks she's found the love of her life in Ryle Kincaid. However, after a troubling incident of abuse reminds her of her dark past, she must decide if love alone can carry her marriage through.
'Further complicating things is the return of her first love into her life: a man who she took in many years prior when he was homeless.'
PEOPLE previously reported that It Ends With Us' release has been pushed back to August. Hopefully, it'll give the producers a little bit of time to listen to and take on board fans' minor criticisms.
