For pretty much all of Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign, Ivanka Trump was nowhere to be found. When he first started running again, she vowed to support him from “outside the political arena,” and over the past two years she has done just that — keeping her distance from his rallies, going to his archnemesis Taylor Swift’s concert, and, as recently as Election Day, avoiding politics altogether by quoting Carl Jung on Instagram in honor of her 43rd birthday. But now that Trump has won the election, Ivanka appears to be back by his side. She and her husband, Jared Kushner, proudly appeared onstage at Trump’s victory rally Tuesday night and later attended his party at Mar-a-Lago with Caitlyn Jenner and Elon Musk.
Ivanka and Jared have been taking pains to distance themselves from Trump since the 2020 election — after they were reportedly iced out of all their New York social circles, they eventually retreated to Miami to go back to influencing and hanging out with rich people. But now things in the Trump camp are obviously looking up again. While her father delivered his victory speech on Tuesday, Ivanka stood off to the side in a blue velvet pantsuit, happily sandwiched between Kushner and J.D. Vance, while Trump’s other children and grandchildren — including his daughter-in-law and Republican National Committee co-chair, Lara — stood closer to the center. Later in the evening, per “Page Six,” she joined the “caravan of buses” headed for Mar-a-Lago to celebrate Trump’s win.
I guess the “political arena” is much more appealing now?
