Saoirse Ronan is one of Ireland’s top talents, from her early career moments in The Lovely Bones to Atonement and her Oscar-nominated roles in Little Women and Brooklyn.
She has been booked and busy since launching her career in the early 2000s, with her racking up four nominations at the Academy Awards.
But not much is known about her personal life as she prefers to keep it private - until now - with the actress making her red carpet debut with her new husband, Jack Lowden.

Working togetherSaoirse and the Scottish actor first worked together on the 2018 film Mary Queen of Scots. She played the titular character, while Jack portrayed her second husband Henry Stuart, Lord Darnley.
They reportedly started out as friends before dating, with news of their romance breaking in December 2018.
The couple were later asked about their relationship, however, they didn’t want to answer.
“Am I allowed to ask if you’re going out with the person that everyone thinks you’re going out with?” a reporter for The Telegraph asked exactly a year later
Saoirse replied: “No.”
In another interview with ES Magazine, she elaborated on the decision to keep that aspect of her life away from the public, saying: “Oh I’m not going to talk about that. I don’t like talking about that side of life.
“Most of the actors I know live pretty normal lives, it’s just every now and again they have to do something ridiculous or extraordinary. My life hasn’t changed. People seem more interested — I guess that’s changed, for sure.”
In the following years, Saoirse and Jack were spotted together many times - she even appeared on his Instagram, with photos later being deleted.
The actor eventually began posting snaps of them together again, but this time they were snapshots of her head.
As their relationship progressed, he shared photos of them on New Years and on holidays in Japan.
They were pictured together around London, with Jack also showing up to support the Irish actress for a stage production of The Tragedy of Macbeth.
This summer, they were spotted enjoying the music at Glastonbury. Jack also shared a photo of them wrapped up together on his social media.

It was reported in July 2024 that Saoirse and Jack had tied the knot in a small and private ceremony earlier that year, according to Scottish civil marriage records.
They were said to have only a handful of their closest friends and family members present at the ceremony, which took place at the Edinburgh Central Registrar’s Office.
When asked if it's difficult being married to another actor, Jack recently explained that it is a help rather than a hindrance.
"No, being with an actor is wonderful, because we understand each other. We're quite odd people, actors. We're strange animals," he told he Guardian.
"So it just makes complete sense, and I understand why there are loads of other actors with actors… And it's really useful for running lines, rather than with, like, your mum."
Saoirse and Jack made their red carpet debut at the 2024 Emmys in September. He was nominated for his supporting role in the drama Slow Horses.
Their new movie, The Outrun, is set to premiere soon. Saoirse starred in the film, while Jack produced it.
Speaking about working with him again, she told The Sunday Times: “If you find people that you love and you trust creatively, why would you not want to keep working with them?”
She added: “We have very high expectations for one another — when I tried out Rona’s Orcadian accent on him for The Outrun, he said, ‘You’re not doing that, are you?’”
