A famous influencer has shared his thoughts on one of Galway's most popular cuisines, remarking that "you people know how to eat".

The ringing endorsement came from James Charles, an American beauty YouTuber and makeup artist with over 94 million followesr across social media who recently embarked on an Irish holiday.

The "10/10" meal in question was Ireland's unofficial national dish, the spicebag. James visited Xian Street Food, however he didn't pop in to the Quay Street location after a rake of pints in nearby Tigh Neachtain, in true Galway style.

James visited the popular brand's Dublin location on South Anne Street where he treated his Tiktok followers to a glowing review.

"Everyone told me that I need to try a spice bag. So I have gotten one. This is what it looks like," the influencer said, sitting outside Xian Street Food.

He held up the bag to the camera and had two tubs of sauce sitting on the table in front of him.

"It is basically fried chicken and french fries all in one bag together and I have two different sauce options."

"I have this sweet and spicy sauce and then a curry sauce and I guess you just dip it in and see what it tastes like."

He tried some chicken with the sweet and sour and it was clear from his face that he loved it.

"Oh my God. That is so good. Oh, wow, It's like sweet and sour chicken," he said observantly.

Next up James tried the curry sauce with a chip, and despite saying he doesn't like curry, he was pleasantly surprised.

"You people know how to eat here already. 10/10."

Tiktok users were gobsmacked to see an internet celebrity in Ireland trying the local food, with one person joking that James should "try a chicken fillet roll from Centra next".
