Erin McClean has shared a poignant post to celebrate her son Junior's 8th birthday.
The mum of four, who is married to Irish midfielder James McClean - today preparing to hit the pitch in Ireland's match against the Netherlands - shared that she is so proud of her family, and of Junior as he celebrates turning eight years old.
"Wow. It scares me so much how fast my kids are growing up. But when I reflect on Junior’s life I have such high emotions," Erin wrote.

Sharing an Instagram carousel of pictures and videos, she said: "He has turned into the most kind, hyper, yet thoughtful wee guy and he makes me so proud everyday in school and at football."
"Junior has been the funniest wee character and these videos just show his personality to a tee lol."
"He had the most difficult wee start to life, and now he is just a ray of pure happiness."
"Junior is a healthy, loved, happy, lively wee boy who brings pure energy to our house and there is no better son I could have wished for. Forever my sonshine."
Sharing her post to his own Instagram, James wrote: "My guy. Happy birthday son."
James and Erin were recently made very proud when their son made the first tentative steps of his own journey towards football greatness.
The youngster this year became Crewe Alexandra Football Club's latest recruit.
"Wee mans first contract," James wrote at the time, posting a picture of his son signing on the dotted line.
Erin and James met in their hometown of Derry back in 2010, they became engaged three years later in 2013, welcomed their first child Allie May and then married in 2016.
The couple announced the happy news of their fourth pregnancy in the summer of 2022.
They welcomed baby Mia Rose earlier this year, and are also proud parents to James Jr (Junior), Allie May and Willow Ivy.
