Joe Rogan has formally endorsed Donald Trump ahead of the upcoming U.S. election, citing Elon Musk’s rationale in support of the former president.
On Monday, Rogan, who recently hosted a podcast with Trump, shared an entire episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, featuring Musk as a special guest, on X (formerly Twitter). He captioned the post: "The great and powerful @elonmusk. If it wasn’t for him we’d be ------. He makes, what I think, is the most compelling case for Trump you'll hear, and I agree with him every step of the way. For the record, yes, that’s an endorsement of Trump. Enjoy the podcast."
Rogan, a prominent UFC color commentator, launched his podcast in 2009, and it has since become one of the most popular shows worldwide. He often uses the platform to dive into a variety of topics and regularly hosts guests from diverse backgrounds, including JD Vance, whom he disagreed with over abortion.

The 57-year-old has long been known for his nuanced political views, emphasizing free speech and open dialogue, which has led many to see his stance as more centrist than strictly aligned with any one party or candidate.
While Rogan is often perceived as a Trump supporter, earlier this year, he seemed to express some backing for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. However, Rogan has previously made it clear that he wasn’t a fan of Trump. In 2022, he stated: “I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape, or form. I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once, but I’ve said no every time. I don’t want to help him, I’m not interested in helping him.”

It seems, however, that Rogan’s views have shifted, likely influenced by Musk, whom he holds in high regard. Musk recently criticized the Democratic Party, suggesting they will “tell whatever lie wins the election” after a CNN KFile investigation revealed that ads aimed at Michigan voters focused on pro-Palestine messages, while pro-Israel ads were targeted at voters in Pennsylvania, home to a large Jewish population. Musk argued that this tactic showed the Democrats would do whatever it takes to secure votes.

While Rogan’s political leanings are generally centrist, his views span both progressive and conservative issues. He has supported causes like drug legalization and criminal justice reform, while also backing conservative stances on issues like political correctness and cancel culture. Rogan has also long been a proponent of the Second Amendment and individual responsibility when it comes to gun ownership, stressing the importance of self-defense.
As the 2024 election approaches, it appears Rogan is leaning more toward the right.
