It couple alert at the 2024 Academy Awards! Emily Blunt and John Krasinski hit the red carpet at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood this evening, and they might as well have been walking down the aisle all over again. Both Blunt, who is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in John Nolan’s Oppenheimer, and Krasinki stepped out in all-white ensembles—and their coordinated fashion front isn’t just an indicator of their stronger-than-ever relationship. It’s also a good reminder to consider matching with your spouse-to-be on your wedding day.

Blunt stunned in a sequin-covered Schiaparelli gown, complete with an elongated train (talk about bridal-inspired!), chunky, raised straps, and  leotard-inspired beadwork. Layered diamond necklaces, a high, wispy bun (another callout to big-day style—this undone bun is the wedding hairstyle of 2024), and strappy silver platform sandals.

Krasinki matched his wife of nearly 14 years in a creamy white suit with a monochrome satin bow tie and black patent leather shoes for contrast; his fashion details are not yet known, but we loved the messaging of the couple’s united fashion front. By matching Blunt, Krasinski found a way to support his partner on one of the biggest nights of her career (tonight marks her first-ever Academy Award nomination). The Jack Ryan actor also rocked one of our favorite groom fashion trends right now: a brooch worn on the lapel. We think it’s such a great alternative to the big-day boutonnière and about to be everywhere in 2024 and 2025.

While this might be the first time this beloved A-list couple has completely matched for a red-carpet event, it isn’t the first time Emily Blunt has rocked white on Hollywood’s biggest night out. The actress also donned the bridal-inspired shade at the 2023 Academy Awards, when she posed for the cameras in a shock-white Valentino gown, which featured an off-the-shoulder neckline and body-hugging silhouette.
