Kate Winslet is brushing up on her cookery skills in Ireland
Kate Winslet is in Ireland!
Yes, we’re keeping our eyes peeled for the iconic actor.
She is staying in Cork for the foreseeable future as she is brushing up on her cookery skills.
Yes, she will be spending the next few weeks as a student at Ballymaloe Cookery School.
Of course, this is the school under the watchful eye of Rachel Allen.
Per The Irish Examiner, the Oscar winner was spotted out and about in the nearby town with Rachel and her husband, Isaac.
It is reported that she and a friend stayed at Ballymaloe House and nearby Ballyshane Coastal Retreats, a private 20-acre coastal property with rental accommodation.
And it looks like she is taking part in a two-and-a-half-day cookery course at the iconic school. This week Rachel Allen is running a sold-out €865cookery course in Ballymaloe called Cooking for Family and Friends between Wednesday and Friday.
Kate Winslet Pic: DisneyOf course, one of Kate’s most iconic films is Titanic, with the real ship having close links to Ireland.
The ship was built in Belfast and Cobh was the last port visited by the Titanic on April 11, 1912, three days before it struck an iceberg and sank. The Cork coastal town is just half an hour away from where Kate is staying, so we’re sure she’ll make a visit!
But Kate is a busy woman as she has new TV show coming out this year, The Regime, which was written by the same minds behind Succession.
The six-episode series tells the story of life within the walls of a modern authoritarian regime as it begins to unravel.
After not leaving the palace for quite some time, Chancellor Elena Vernham (Kate Winslet) has grown increasingly paranoid and unstable when she turns to a volatile soldier, Herbert Zubak (Matthias Schoenaerts), as an unlikely confidant.
As Zubak’s influence over the chancellor continues to grow, Elena’s attempts to expand her power eventually result in both the palace and the country fracturing around her.
She will also appear in an upcoming film entitled Lee.
The film is based on the real life of American model Lee Miller who became a serious war correspondent in the Second World War, capturing some of the most important and iconic images of that time.
So we’re delighted Kate is taking some time for herself before her hectic schedule.
