Katie Price has been told she must attend court sessions "no ifs, no buts, no holidays," after she was arrested at Heathrow Airport for missing a bankruptcy hearing.

Wearing a black head strap and large sunglasses, the 46-year-old, walked into the Royal Courts of Justice in London on Friday afternoon.

During the short hearing, Deputy Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Daniel Schaffer ordered Ms Price to give an "undertaking" to the court that she would attend a further hearing to face questions over her finances on August 27.

"You have to attend that date, no ifs or buts, no going abroad, no holidays," he said.

Ms Price asked the judge whether she could attend the hearing remotely, saying: "Am I able to do it by Zoom or in a side room?"

However, after being rebuffed, the former model insisted "I just want to get this sorted out" and said she would "move my diary for it".

Price, who was supported throughout the hearing by a woman who she described as an "appropriate adult", said she had attempted to seek legal support, but faced being charged £50,000 upfront.

She said she was also unable to claim legal aid because she was working, and that 40% of her earnings were taken because of the bankruptcy proceedings.

The hearing was held at the Rolls Building in London, but Price attended via a video link from the nearby Royal Courts of Justice.

It comes after a warrant was issued for her arrest after the former glamour model failed to attend a bankruptcy hearing.

Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Catherine Burton made the ruling about Price at the end of July, saying she had been given "very clear warnings" that she must appear.

Price had been due to face questions about her finances from barristers after she was declared bankrupt in November 2019, and again this March over an unpaid tax bill worth more than £750,000.

At a hearing in February, Price was ordered to pay 40% of her monthly income from the adult entertainment website OnlyFans to the trustee for the next three years, in relation to her first bankruptcy.

She insisted last week that she was "not running from matters" and posted a statement on Instagram saying she could not attend because she was filming abroad.

In a lengthy post online, Price claimed the media was trying to cause "continued humiliation to myself and family" but was "neither embarrassed or ashamed" adding that: "I have to continue in my work in order to satisfy these bankruptcy orders."

After making her name as a glamour model in the 1990s under the name Jordan, Price moved into reality TV, where she appeared on shows including I'm A Celebrity. She has also fronted BBC documentaries.
