Katie Taylor's net worth after controversial fight and huge payday

Katie Taylor has come out victorious yet again after her big-money fight against Amanda Seranno in Texas ended in controversy.

Raised eyebrows aside, Katie put on quite the show to retain her super lightweight belts in the bout which was streamed on Netflix.

But how much is the Irish boxer worth? And how much can she expect to bank after her latest match? Here's what we know...

Katie is one of the most renowned female boxers in the world and at 38, she has made pretty penny throughout her career.

The exact amount Katie has banked is not known but estimates say her net worth after 25 professional outings is around $3m (€2.8m).

Sportskeeda reports that her fee for the win over Chantelle Cameron in Dublin last November was seven figures with BusinessPlus suggesting it was at least €2m.

According to Extra.ie, early estimates are predicting Katie will take home $6.1m (€5.9m) from the fight against Seranno in Texas.

Boxing Kingdom shared the figure, writing: 'Katie Taylor will receive the largest payday in the history of women’s boxing, when she fights Amanda Serrano in a rematch on November 15th. Katie will make in excess of $6.1M US. The event promoter is Jake Paul’s MVP Promotions.'

Business Plus reported in November 2023 that Katie owns a company called KT Sports Ltd and although the property letting and apparel retail firm has made losses of €85,000 and €37,700 over the last few years, it still has earnings of €1.6m.

As for properties, accounts for the previous 12 months ending in June 2023 showed an accumulated worth of €753,900.

The accounts were filed in March 2023 and showed Katie and sister Sarah were paid nearly €51,900 as company directors.
