The former teacher was previously tipped to takeover the 2FM Drivetime slot from Lottie Ryan and amid reports received a wave of congratulatory messages.
However, the comedian laughed off the rumours and put them to rest clarifying she hasn't been asked to join the radio show.
Speaking on The 2 Johnnies Podcast, Kayleigh admitted that the texts she received was the worst part about being tipped for the gig.
She told: "The worst part of it was the congratulation messages that were coming in... Maura Fay and Tommy Bowe.
"Tommy sent me this wee poem of congratulations, 'Doing it for Monaghan and Kayleigh we are delighted for you'."
She added: "And I was like, 'I feel like I've let them all down daddy - I've let them all down'."
The viral sensation said she would "happily" take a job at the station if there's one going.
She admitted to the podcasters that radio was something she has always wanted to get into.

She explained: "Don't get me wrong, radio is something I'd love to get into, but I suppose as a lip syncer, what's the chances when I don't actually speak for a living.
“I’d love to get a wee Nordie on the radio all the same. But not this time.”

Although Kayleigh isn't venturing into radio, The two Johnnies will be making a new career move.
The Tipperary duo faced a massive challenge when RTE chiefs asked them to front a new quiz show for the station last month.
But Larry Bass, of ShinAwil Productions, told The Irish Sun: “Hosting live TV and reading auto-cue was something that was totally new to the two lads but they took direction really well.
TAKING A SNAPSHOT“It’s a game changer for them. Just as Jennifer Zamparelli was famous for Republic of Telly and Bridget & Eamon but hosting Dancing with the Stars took her to a new audience”.
The Irish Sun revealed the new 2 Johnnies Show is called ‘Snapshot’, and could be coming to prime time RTE TV in the Autumn.
RTE’s Group Head of Entertainment Alan Tyler commissioned the pilot, a co-production between ShinAwil and BBC Studios, for RTE One TV.
Larry said: “It’s a big entertainment show with The 2 Johnnies which could be on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night.
“I can’t go into exactly what the format is in case someone else steals our idea but it does involve members of the public engaging with the lads.”
He added that Snapshot with The 2 Johnnies has the potential to be as big as ShinAwil’s other show, Dancing with the Stars.
Larry said: “My company ShinAwil and BBC Studios are all about putting bums on seats. This show will certainly do that.”
