A recently confirmed casting for Keanu Reeves means we might finally get a minifigure for the actor – in one way or another.

Keanu Reeves has been confirmed to be cast as Shadow in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, meaning the LEGO version of the moody hedgehog might be the closest we ever get to a minifigure of the iconic actor. His filmography is full of mature movies like The Matrix and John Wick, both franchises that likely become LEGO sets (although Neo did feature in a LEGO Dimensions Level Pack).

Shadow does boast the same flowing black locks that Reeves does in many of his roles and embodies some of the dark gruffness that both Neo and John Wick share as well. This is a stark contrast to the majority of reports that Reeves himself is a pleasant and friendly guy to talk to, but it does seem to be his preferred type of character.

We might have got close to a Reeves minifigure if he had been cast as Master Sol in The Acolyte instead of Squid Game’s Lee Jung-jae, as reported by Comicbook.com. However, the recent cancellation of the Star Wars show after just one season would have killed that hope stone dead anyway.

As it stands, Shadow the Hedgehog is probably the best LEGO-fied Keanu we’re going to get, at least bringing a character he has voiced to life. That also means that we’ve got a LEGO BrickHeadz Keanu Reeves in 40672 Sonic the Hedgehog: Knuckles & Shadow and even a buildable bust with 77000 Shadow the Hedgehog, coming out on October 1. You want one LEGO hedgehog and three come along all at once…
