Kerry turn over the ball and break at pace with Derry goalkeeper Odhrán Lynch out of his goal.

Seán O'Shea takes the point and Jack O'Connor's men are back in front.

Paul Cassidy restores parity for Derry and referee David Coldrick is now having a word with his linesman.

It looks like there will be bookings for McKaigue and Clifford after that incident.

David Clifford and Chrissy McKaigue have been involved in a tussle off the ball and that gives the crowd something to shout about.

Linesman Noel Mooney has attempted to separate them.

Brian Ó Beaglaoich is brought down by Lachlan Murray and David Clifford scores from the free.

That's Clifford's third point, but he hasn't had as big an impact on the game as Kerry fans would like.

The Kingdom are up by one.

Kerry have made a switch to put Tom O'Sullivan on the danger man, Shane McGuigan, with Jason Foley moving to Lachlan Murray.

Kerry level terms as Diarmuid O'Connor breaks free and pops the ball over.

Seán O'Shea then curls an effort wide. He's had an off-day so far.

Shane McGuigan is having a fabulous game. Causing Jason Foley all sorts of problems, he's brought down and dusts himself off to kick the free over – his fifth point of the game.

Kerry play the ball around as they look for an opening but eventually concede a free as Paul Geaney is judged to have fouled Conor McCluskey.

The second half has started. Remember, it’s Derry’s third game in two weeks and it will be interesting to see how that affects them during the latter stages.

Let's hope for a more entertaining 35 minutes.

One of Kerry's greats, Tomás Ó Sé, believes the Kingdom are "too measured" and "playing poorly":

Here's how the first half unfolded:

Kerry 0-6 Derry 0-6That's the end of the half and this certainly hasn't been the classic we had hoped for.

In fact, it has been a hard watch at times.

Kerry's Tony Brosnan shoots wide and there will be just the one minute of time added on at the end of the half.

A super score from Shane McGuigan under pressure from his marker, and the sides are level with half time around the corner.

Kerry break at pace through David Clifford and he lets fly off his left but it's no score.
