Kevin Costner was photographed sporting his wedding ring just one day before his wife of 19 years Christine Baumgartner filed from divorce.
The 68-year-old The Boydguard actor posed for snaps with fans in Las Vegas before the decision to separate from Christine, 49, was announced.
Actor Kevin had visited the Milano Restaurant and Bar in Vegas with cast and crew after a special screening of his new western film project, Horizon: An American Saga.
Kevin is seen wearing a white cowboy hat along with a blue shirt and light blue denim jeans.
He smiled at the camera as he hugged the eatery's owner Laura Miglinorini and manager and partner Laura Trent – with his wedding ring on his left hand on show.
As the owner posted the photo on her Instagram, she wrote: "@kevincostnermodernwest what a pleasure it was to host this wonderful dinner at @milano_restaurant_bar for such a wonderful actor!'"
In the early hours of this morning it was announced that Christine had filed for divorce from Kevin after 19 years of marriage.
Kevin's publicist, Arnold Robinson, confirmed the news as said: "It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage."
It has been reported Christine gave her husband Kevin an ultimatium in October to quit Yellowstone as he would be away from his family in Los Angeles filming in Montana for months at a time.
Kevin and Christine have three children Cayden, 15, and Hayes, 14, and Grace, 12, together.
A friend told Radar : "It's really knocked a hole in their family life.
"The show is such a mega-hit, producers want it to go on forever! However, Christine wants her husband to hang up his cowboy hat, with an insider saying her patience is starting to fray.
"She wants a firm commitment this is his last season — or he might have to hit the dusty trail!"
However, Kevin – who plays John Dutton in hit show Yellowstone – continued with his busy career as he finishing filming the first sting of western Horizon: An American Saga.
Kevin began shooting the next instalment in the spring. He previously told Variety of his project: "So, I’ll probably shoot for eight months.
"It’s a mountain — a mountain of time.'
"I’m as pressed as I’ve ever been in my life in terms of the responsibilities and the amount of decisions I’m having to make every day, between doing what I’m doing every day for Yellowstone and my own [work].
"There’s a lot of people standing behind me waiting for me to make decisions and things like that."
Kevin became a director for the first time since 2003 with Horizon, which documents 15 years of "the pre- and post-Civil War expansion and settlement of the American West".
