Ó Cearúil polling well: Lawless to top the poll in Kildare North
Fianna Fáil's James Lawless looks set to top the poll in Kildare North.
The Minister of State and Sallins resident has secured 15.4% of the first preference votes cast, according to tally figures.
This puts him ahead of Social Democrats candidate Aidan Farrelly who has 13.2% of the vote and is in second place.
Sinn Féin's Réada Cronin is in third place (11.9%) followed by FF's Naoise Ó Cearúil (10.3%) with Joe Neville (FG) 9.5% who is ahead of running mate and veteran TD Bernard Durkan (8.3%).
Farrelly, Ó Cearúil and Neville are contesting a general election for the first time.
