It's no reason to start a war, but a new season of the RTÉ crime drama Kin is reportedly looking 'less and less likely' to return.

Despite the newfound popularity of the show after its release on Netflix earlier this summer, items from the old set are being flogged off- so a return doesn't look promising.

An insider told The Irish Sun: 'Right after the second series of Kin wrapped, all the props used in it went into storage to await the filming of a third season.'

The items were apparently kept in storage by the US film company Bron Studios, however after filing for bankruptcy and with no third season on the horizon, the company is said to have decided to open the storage unit and sell the props.

The source also told the outlet that the items will be sold privately and not at an auction or on a website like many TV shows choose to do.

Although the show has millions of viewers it is unknown how well the sale will go before it begins- after all, the Kinsella family weren't exactly known for having good taste"

Some of the props thought to be going on sale are the tacky pictures from around the house and Amanda and Jimmy's iconic oversized headboard.

TV insiders also told the outlet that selling off the contents of the Kinsella home could well be the final nail in the coffin of the hit show Kin.

The insider said: 'This is going to make the continuity on season three of Kin a nightmare.'

The source explained that the people who binge-watched the series will be highly confused when the Kinsella home returns looking radically different, if it does return that is.
