Lana was also said to not be impressed she was not initially billed as the main act on the stage for Saturday on the first line-up poster.

The poster had been listed in alphabetical order, with Del Rey featuring further down, but it did not mark her out as the headline act for The Other Stage.

He told the crowd: "Glastonbury, I'm really sorry. I'm a bit annoyed with myself."

Lewis then suggested he would need to continue his break to try and recuperate, as he said: "I feel like I'll be taking another wee break over the next couple of weeks. So you probably won't see much of me for the rest of the year, maybe even.

"But when I do come back and when I do see you, I hope you're still up for watching us."
