Larry the Cat, Chief Mouser at 10 Downing Street, did not waste a moment to clear the “important business” of his meal timings soon after Keir Starmer was elected as Britain’s next prime minister on July 5. Starmer’s Labour Party won a massive majority in the UK's parliamentary election while Rishi Sunak conceded defeat.

While congratulating Starmer on his post, Larry also conveyed to him when he prefers to take his meals. Plus, snacks, of course.

“Congratulations on your much deserved victory. Now, the important business of my meal times: I like breakfast at 10, lunch at 11, dinner at 3. And 5. And 7. Plenty of snacks in between,” reads a message posted from Larry the Cat’s account on X.

This zinger, basically, summed up Larry’s sentiment: “Get that right and the rest of your job is a doddle.”

Sassy!

Larry the cat has over 8 lakh followers on X and his bio reads, “Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office. 16 year old tabby. Living with my fifth (soon to be sixth) Prime Minister. Unofficial.”

UK Labour leader Keir Starmer is an ex-human rights lawyer and public prosecutor who will have to focus his relentless work ethic and methodical mind on fixing the country.

61-year-old Keir Starmer will be the oldest person to become British Prime Minister in almost half a century -- and comes just nine years since he was first elected to parliament.
