Ahead of his hosting duties on the Late Late Show, movie-goers will see Patrick Kielty on the big screen today.

He's starring in the Irish film Ballywalter, which debuts for one day only, for National Cinema Day.

Movie theatres nationwide are offering 4 euro tickets to celebrate - with plenty of choices for the entire family, with some big names like Barbie: Oppenheimer and Jurassic Park.

Director of Omniplex Cinemas Mark Anderson said last year's event was Irish cinema's most significant day.
