Patrick Kielty to bring a new 'vibe' from the Late Late Show
Patrick Kielty bringing 'a different energy' to his second season of Late Late Show
Patrick Kielty is biting at the bit to get back on our screens as The Late Late Show gets set to return after its summer hiatus.
The funny man has teased 'a lot of good stuff coming down the track', as he appears to be significantly less nervous this time around than he was last year when he was made his debut as host.
We're looking forward to the Late Late Show's return, as Patrick's teased he'll be bringing 'a different vibe and a different energy' as he now knows what the audience expect of him.
The Down native told Chic that the viewers 'need to know the person that’s driving the bus knows how to drive'.
'It kind of feels like going into season one, it was, "Who is this guy, can he drive?",' Patrick recalled. 'And going into season two, it sort of feels like, "OK, at least we know he can drive - where’s he going to take us?"'
Patrick revealed that this season will see a host of exciting twists, sharing that he hopes to incorporate Team Ireland's Olympic success into the show.
He also teased that he would 'quite like to take the show on the road', inspired by the three times that the show was filmed in London over the years.
That'd be incredibly handy for Patrick as he currently lives in London with his wife Cat Deeley and their two sons Milo and James.
Mark your calendars! The Late Late Show is set to return to RTÉ One on Friday, September 13 at 9.35pm.
