The final amount raised for the annual Toy Show Appeal has smashed €4,154,168 million.

The Toy Show Appeal was started in 2020 following Saoirse Ruane’s appearance on the annual special — and has raised tens of millions of euro over the years.

After breaching the million euro mark just minutes into the launch, a [visibly emotional Patrick] revealed at the end of the show the final amount donated.

Various children’s charities will benefit from the Toy Show Appeal, including Autism Assistance Dogs — with puppy Star being immediately crowned the people’s princess after she appeared on the show alongside Patrick.

Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland was one of the beneficiaries of the annual Toy Show Appeal, with Patrick returning from the first ad break with what can only be described as the cutest puppy the country has to offer — a labrador named Star.

The puppy immediately became the ‘star’ of the show (sorry) as she yawned and licked Patrick’s ear, with Patrick taking the fall for a mysterious puddle that appeared on the set during the break.

The total raised by the fund in the last four years has now soared over €25 million.
