Watch The Leinster Academy: Alex Soroka - Leinster Rugby

Leinster Rugby has launched the third episode of a three-part series on the journey of players in the Leinster Academy.

The stories of Charlie Tector, Temi Lasisi and Alex Soroka all feature.

Each episode will look at the different journeys each player has taken to make it into the Leinster Academy, the challenges along the way and the support from the people around them.

The original series went live in 2016 which featured Peter Dooley, Adam Byrne, Tom Daly, and Josh van der Flier.

In the third edition, we see the journey of Alex Soroka.

We hear from his former coach in Belvedere College about his obsession with rugby. Alex’s brother and Contarf teammate, Ivan says what it was like to finally play with his brother.

With family in Ukraine, we hear how the Soroka family have dealt with the ongoing conflict and how they helped raise more than €60,000 for a children’s hospital in Kyiv.

With all of that going on, Alex excelled on the pitch earning a Man of the Match trophy in Cape Town away to the Stormers.
