BREAKING: Hollywood star Liam Neeson filming on Limerick city ...
HOLLYWOOD has officially arrived in Limerick, as Liam Neeson was spotted filming in Limerick city this Tuesday morning.
Crowds gathered to watch the filming and try sneak a photo of the Northern Irish movie star, sporting a rust-coloured jacket and a cap.
The three-time Golden Globe-winning actor, who hails from Co Antrim, is known for his work on major hits including the Taken franchise, Schindler's List, and Christmas favourite Love Actually, among many others.
Catherine Street and Glentworth Street have both undergone major transformations to create a 1990s-America streetscape for the movie.
The transformation includes the installation of 'Mini Mart' signage on the existing shopfront of Gleeson's Spar on Catherine Street, US-style rubbish bins placed on footpaths, and vintage American cars parked on the street to replicate the period in which the film is set.
In a Facebook post late on Monday night, Gleeson's Spar Catherine Street shared a number of photos of the transformed building, with the caption: "Our shop is a film set on Tuesday morning. Expecting Liam Neeson and other stars of the movie 4 kids walk into a bank".
Limerick City and County Council had previously confirmed a number of temporary road closures on Tuesday, December 3, and informed locals that parking will be restricted from midnight.

A sign posted on Catherine Street advised road users that the restrictions will remain in place until 4pm this Tuesday afternoon as filming of "exterior scenes" is expected to take place throughout the day.
It added that access will be maintained for pedestrians and customers of local businesses at all times.
Liam Neeson is allegedly playing an ex-bank robber named Danny, whose teenage granddaughter, Paige, is the light of his life. When she overhears her grandfather say that his former gang is pulling him back in to pay a debt, she enlists her three best friends to rob the bank, sparing him.
Production of the film, titled 4 Kids Walk into a Bank, is being overseen by the aptly-named Robbers Productions DAC, in collaboration with Limerick City and County Council and An Garda Síochána.
