Read Colm Keys' report as one of the greatest hurling teams of all-time added to their legacy at Semple Stadium.

Full time: Limerick 1-26 Clare 1-20

Limerick have beaten Clare by six points, becoming the first team to win six Munster senior hurling titles on the bounce.

Not that it was needed, but Diarmuid Byrnes puts on final free over.

Morrissey's free gives Limerick a five-point cushion.

We won't have time for much more.

Rodgers pops another free over and we're into time added on.

Just three minutes to play.

With Aidan McCarthy gone off, Mark Rodgers takes free-taking duties and scores.

Limerick are finishing well and it's looking like another Munster hurling title.

Kyle Hayes and Gearóid Hegarty add further scores with the clock ticking down.

Peter Duggan and Ian Galvin, only on the field, make it two unanswered scores for the Banner.

Meanwhile, Shane O'Brien has taken a kock to the ribs.

He missed a free moments ago, but following a couple of substitutions, Byrnes finds the posts.

Adam English adds another and Limerick are looking in good shape.

McCarthy has chipped in with eight scores today and Clare close the gap to four points.

Off the post! After an interception, Tony Kelly finds Mark Rodgers, who comes agonisingly close to scoring Clare's second goal.

Another Aidan McCarthy free leaves Clare five points adrift with 14 minutes plus additional time to play.

Clare are attempting to claw their way back into this and Fitzgerald comes up with a score.

However, Limerick then point through Gearóid Hegarty.

The two-time Hurler of the Year has had a quiet afternoon by his standards and is withdrawn for Adam English.
