World Cup champions Lionel Messi and Jenni Hermoso headline the nominees for the Best FIFA Football Awards 2023.
Argentina's Messi is a two-time previous winner of the award (2019 and 2022), while Hermoso is eying her first such honour.
The Male and Female Best Award categories leads a collection of seven, including coach and goalkeeper for men and women, respectively, as well as the FIFA Fan Award.

The women's list features a who's-who of last month's Women's World Cup, with Australian Sam Kerr, England's Alex Greenwood and Lindsey Horan of the USWNT featuring - along with three of Hermoso's Spanish teammates. Lioness Mary Earps, winner of the World Cup Golden Glove, leads the women's goalkeeper category.
Messi features alongside Frenchman Kylian Mbappe, Norway's Erling Haaland and Declan Rice of England.
