Popular Limerick trainer enjoys memorable day at Listowel races

Co. Limerick trainer Eric McNamara has had an impressive Listowel Harvest Festival so far with five winners, including a memorable treble today. 

Cahirdown Boy won the Fitzmaurice Memorial Handicap Chase, Mount Ferns won the Southampton Goodwill Plate Handicap while Frankendale was the winner of today’s feature race, the MCG Handicap Hurdle.

The Rathkeale man told Dave Keena that training horses is not an easy business but days like today make it all worthwhile.
