Loughrea v Na Fianna live updates from the All-Ireland club semi-final
Loughrea and Na Fianna go head to head this afternoon for a place in the All-Ireland club hurling final.
It is Galway side Loughrea's first All-Ireland semi-final in 17 years and they have had a long time to look forward to this match, having not played in five weeks.
And they are the underdogs against a Na Fianna side who impressed in beating Kilcormac in the Leinster final.
With inter-county stars like Donal Burke in their ranks, the Dublin champions are a high-quality side that will fancy their chances of making their first-ever All-Ireland final.
The match is scheduled for a 3.30pm throw-in at FBD Semple Stadium. It will be shown live on TG4 and will be available to stream on the TG4 Player.

Playing hurling for Na Fianna in the ‘90s and 2000s wasn’t a particularly fulfilling pursuit, and among the various low points, one stands out for Declan Feeney in particular.
He had been part of a Na Fianna minor team that won a county title in 1981 and the bones of that side reached three county semi-finals in the late ‘80s. But there was nothing coming through and they inevitably dropped down the divisions and out of the senior grade.
In 2007, they played St Jude’s in a senior B final which took three games before there was a winner declared, but Na Fianna, a much more established hurling club despite their flagging fortunes, couldn’t find a way to win.
