Simon Cowell has walked Lucy Spraggan down the aisle at her wedding.

Lucy Spraggan gave us one of the most memorable X Factor auditions of all time when she performed her original song Last Night (Beer Fear)
for the judges back in 2012.

She finished in 9th place, having decided it was best to withdraw from the competition.

Now, 12 years on, she's still close to music mogul Simon Cowell. So much so, that she had him walk her down the aisle at her wedding to her new wife, Emilia Smith.

The wedding was covered by Hello! Magazine, who confirmed Simon walked Lucy down the aisle alongside her 11-year-old Boston terrier Steve, who sported a black bowtie for the special occassion.

In the first photo shared from the big day, the couple look incredible, both wearing white and looking completely overjoyed. In the background, Simon Cowell watches on smiling.

Also, if you look to the top right-hand corner of the image, you'll spot another familiar face in attendance: Love Island's Adam Collard!

"It was perfect," Lucy said of the big day. "Simon and I were standing outside the door and my song started playing. I was already crying, and Simon definitely had a tear in his eye. I was linking arms with him but then I realised I was holding on to his arm. He kept saying, 'You're OK, you're all right.' Then when Emilia walked in with her dad I just sobbed."

Meanwhile, Emilia said "When I saw Lucy, it was everything I ever imagined and more. When I got to the top of the aisle Simon was looking at us both and he looked so proud, and so did my dad. Dad has been having chemotherapy for cancer but somehow, he made it through the day to be the last man standing."

Meanwhile, Simon said "I was very honoured to be asked to walk Lucy down the aisle. I considered it a very big deal. As soon as she asked me, I said yes. On the day I was actually quite nervous because I've never been asked before. And then very proud and happy and emotional.

He added "The best way of describing our relationship is that it feels like we've been friends for life. Being asked to walk her down the aisle made me realise the significance and importance of that role. And throughout the day, I was thinking even though it's been a relatively short time, we do feel like family, and we share a very special bond."

Congratulations Lucy and Emilia!
