Liverpool's hopes of a quadruple are over following defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup. It leaves just two more trophies for the Reds to fight for including, of course, the Premier League.

Liverpool led twice in the tie at Old Trafford, but Amad Diallo's goal deep into extra time ultimately saw Jürgen Klopp's men fall in the quarter-finals. It will be a difficult one to swallow, but with the defeat, the rest of Liverpool's season becomes clearer.

The Reds are now out of action until the end of the month, with the international break taking center stage. Klopp will be keeping his fingers crossed his players come back from their duties fully fit.

Once the action gets back underway on the club scene, we’ll be into the business end of the season. Just 10 Premier League games remain for Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal, with one huge fixture lying in wait after the break.

The Reds will return against Brighton on March 31 before hosting Sheffield United at the start of April. Another trip to Old Trafford follows, this time in the league, before Atalanta arrives at Anfield for the Europa League quarter-finals.

Crystal Palace is the next visitor on Merseyside before the return leg against Atalanta in Italy. Having missed out on a return to Wembley, the game at Fulham on April 20 will go ahead as scheduled.

Liverpool’s next seven fixtures (all competitions): Brighton (H), Sheffield United (H), Manchester United (A), Atalanta (H), Crystal Palace (H), Atalanta (A), Fulham (A).

While Liverpool returns from the international break against Brighton, it will also have a close eye on events at the Etihad Stadium. City will take on Arsenal on March 31 in a game that will have a huge bearing on the title race.

After that, Pep Guardiola’s side faces Aston Villa at home before traveling to Crystal Palace. Both legs of their Champions League tie against Real Madrid lie either side of a home clash with Luton, before they head to Wembley, with the game at Tottenham on April 20 set to be rearranged.

Manchester City’s next seven fixtures (all competitions): Arsenal (H), Aston Villa (H), Crystal Palace (A), Real Madrid (A), Luton (H), Real Madrid (H), Chelsea (Wembley).

As for Arsenal, games against Luton and Brighton follow the trip to the Etihad, with Bayern Munich and Aston Villa also lying in wait. With Mikel Arteta’s side already out of the FA Cup, they’ll face Wolves, who were knocked out by Coventry on Saturday, while the semi-finals take place.

Arsenal’s next seven fixtures (all competitions): Manchester City (A), Luton (H), Brighton (A), Bayern Munich (H), Aston Villa (H), Bayern Munich (A), Wolves (A).

Liverpool.com says: Getting knocked out of the FA Cup is a bitter blow, especially in the manner in which Liverpool went about things at Old Trafford. Having the international break to stew on that defeat will be tough, but it needs to drive the Reds on now in the league and Europa League. There are still two huge trophies to go for before Klopp calls time on his Anfield adventure.
